About the Work :
This interpertation of the classic opera is set in a reimagined late 19th century London. The Masonic palaces and courts are replaced with intimate rooms of a fencing club, as the iconic Queen of the Night leads a group of sufragettes to oppose the tight knit champion fencing team of Sorostro. Outsider Tamino must compete against the surreal serpent before befriending obsessed sports fan Papageno.
